Through our strategic focus on System-Level Outcomes of increasing food security, reducing rural poverty, addressing under-nutrition, and promoting sustainable natural resource management, MRI works within five impact zones in sub-Saharan Africa.
By targeting key crops such as cassava, yam, maize, banana, soybean, and cowpea, we aim to increase major staple food yields in target regions by two-thirds, ultimately lifting over 11 million Africans above the poverty line and restoring natural resources on millions of hectares of farmland.
